Branding Candidates for 2024 – Do You Like Coke or Pepsi?

In this episode, we dive into the Biden-Trump debate and the RFK Jr. campaign, focusing on the branding and marketing aspects rather than the debate content itself. We contrast Biden’s weaker brand with Trump’s stronger one, underscoring the critical role branding plays in politics.

We also explore the candidacy of RFK Jr. as a new and revitalized contender, highlighting the necessity of a robust brand to captivate voters. RFK Jr. has the opportunity to leverage dissatisfaction with both Biden and Trump to enhance his brand and attract support.

Our discussion emphasizes the importance of branding in politics and the need for candidates to market themselves effectively to voters. Produced in the aftermath of the Biden-Trump debate, this episode examines the implications of branding on political campaigns.

Our guest on this episode is radio personality and journalist, Lori Spencer who is the American correspondent for Maverick News and co-host of the Strange Bedfellows podcast.

Lori Spencer

Lori is a veteran reporter and anchor with more than 35 years of experience in print and broadcast newsrooms. Her work has appeared in numerous daily and weekly newspapers, magazines, and online news portals, including Yahoo News, Counterpunch, TruthOut, This Can’t Be Happening, and OpEdNews.

Lori Spencer and I discuss the importance of truth in politics, particularly in the context of Robert Kennedy’s campaign and his commitment to a new style of politics. We highlight the challenge of being honest in a political environment that often caters to sensationalism.

We touch on Kennedy’s use of new media to reach younger voters and his stance on vaccine safety. We also criticize the lack of Secret Service protection for Kennedy despite RFKjr receiving many threats. Lori explains the need for nuanced understanding and the support Kennedy has within his own family. Hopefully, our conversation sheds some light on the complexities of modern politics and the importance of truth-telling in a polarized media landscape.

Karen Lorre

On this episode, Karen Lorre and I discuss various topics. We touch on Karen’s background as a coach and her work in helping people align their minds and bodies with their goals. We also discuss Karen’s career as an actress, and the changes in social media, particularly Twitter (X), and the issue of censorship. Our focus, however, is shedding light on RFK’s campaign, the minimal mainstream media coverage, and RFK’s lack of Secret Service protection during his presidential campaign.

Karen Lorre discusses her acquaintance with RFK for the past 33 years, highlighting his integrity, dedication to fighting for people’s rights, and his support for the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
