Keloid Awareness with Advocate Sarah Dawn

On this episode we have Sarah Dawn, who is an advocate for keloid scarring awareness.

Sarah is very active on TikTok and believes her world doesn’t evolve around her scars, but rather her scars revolve around her world.

Sarah shares how having keloid scars has impacted her life and how she became determined to change the prevailing attitude about scars as things that are ugly and should be hidden.

We also talk about what keloids are, and some of the ways they can impact health and wellness.

We also discuss the topic of stigma around scars. Scars are often associated with the villain of the story, not the hero. In other cases, scars can be associated with the unhealed or the unholy.

March is National Keloid Awareness Month.
